Manual Therapy at Princeton Osteo

Johngarret works with clients experiencing pain, movement limitations, and injuries that interfere with daily life, work, and athletic performance. Care is always individualized and grounded in how each body moves, adapts, and responds over time.

Manual therapy at Princeton Osteo supports a wide range of needs — from post-surgical recovery to sports injuries, chronic pain patterns, and hypermobility-related concerns.

We Commonly Work With Clients Who Are:

Recovering from Surgery or Injury

Manual therapy can support recovery following orthopedic surgery or injury by helping restore movement, reduce compensatory patterns, and support safer return to activity.

This often includes clients recovering from:

  • Joint surgeries (shoulder, knee, hip, ankle)

  • Tendon or ligament repairs

  • Sports injuries or traumatic injuries

  • Long-standing injuries that never fully resolved

Athletes & Active Individuals

From recreational athletes to competitive players, many clients seek care to support performance, recovery, and injury prevention.

Common concerns include:

  • Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow

  • Rotator cuff and shoulder strain

  • Hip flexor and hamstring issues

  • Achilles and plantar fascia discomfort

  • Runner’s knee and IT band irritation

  • Sports-related overuse injuries

Care focuses on improving movement efficiency, addressing strain patterns, and supporting the body’s ability to handle training demands.

Managing Everyday Pain & Postural Strain

Not all injuries happen on the field. Many clients come in for pain related to daily habits, work demands, or accumulated stress.

This often includes:

  • Neck, upper back, and low back discomfort

  • Postural strain from desk work or repetitive tasks

  • Wrist, forearm, and hand issues

  • Headaches or tension-related discomfort

Hypermobility & Complex Movement Patterns

Some clients experience joint hypermobility or movement patterns that require a more nuanced approach to hands-on care.

Manual therapy for these bodies is adapted, supportive, and precise. If you’ve been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) or suspect hypermobility may be contributing to your symptoms, we may be able to help alleviate symptoms through manual therapy and a thoughtfully designed home program.
